I agree that's an emotional quote when she even apologizes for existing. It is quite sad, indeed.
"bristling" = strävt
"khaki" = en typ av tyg som oftast är beige. They are probably describing a piece of cloth or clothing made from this beige coarse material
"ginormous" I believe is slang for "enormous" = huge, extremely big
polluting = förorenar t ex luften
pollution is all the fumes that cars and factories produce that cause damage to the air and to the environment
