Someone else baby!
I have to say there are many people that everyone knows there ones it well be a change in life.
Everytime and everywhere she look at so there well be children, she is so confused when she hear the voice inside her. If she lisinning to the bad voice or maybe good from inside her or the other people around her so she never going to keep the baby. If the voice is good when she only listening hearself so she going to keep the baby.
My opinions is the baby has make her to think about herself and to take what the importnat is in hers life, when she says"i have decided, i want to have it adopted. It is a tuff decition to take but that makes her more stranger and more adult. I think she need to change in her life somewhere, and there comes. she change hersself every second, time, days, months and years the second maybe she has grow up but when she thinking about hers parents especilly the father so she is still a little tenager. She have to learn herself to weigh between hers life and decition and the parents.

Chapter 6-10 in "Locked in time".
My word list:
-it was nothing to compare with the heat that I was to grow accustomed to later in the summer. (van vid)
-Josie managed to drift surreptitiously back outside again. (i smyg)
-Josie stalked ahead of me with head thrust forward and shoulder set belligerently. (framstöt) (agressivt)
-you don´t know what sort of people might freguent an establishment like that. (?) (etablissemanget)
-once ensconced in my room, however, I found napping impossible. (förskansad)
-it had been a cry of very real anguish. (vånda)
-for a long time I stood immobile. (orörlig)
-we are involved with someone who has an uncanny awarness of time.(besynnerlig)
-the possibility that this feeling might be reciprocated was enough to make me both exhilarated and nervous. (besvarad)
-i felt dwarfed by the immensity of the trees on either side of me. (ställd i skuggan) (ofantligheten)
My quotes:
*Gabe´s arm slipped down and tightened around my shoulders, and I felt those electric currents run all the way through me. It was the beginning of a night that I would always remember. It was also, in certain ways, the beginning of the end. *
I chose this part because I think it´s really powerfull. She explaines how she fell about him as a person. But at the same time she kind of explains how it will end, considering that they are half-siblings.
*Gabe picked up an oar and pushed us away again. Then he seized the cord to the engine and gave it a vicious pull. The motor spraing into life with a sputtering roar. Gabe adjusted the throttle, and we began to chug out into the middle of the river. It wasn´t until we were a good hundred yards downstream that it occured to me to wonder why the boat contained no fishing gear.*
This part I picked because of the meaning it had to me as a reader. It answere some of my questions. When I read this part I just wanted to keep reading. I wanted to know were it would leed. I got really suspisous of Nore´s three new family members.

My wordlist:
Josie managed to drift surreptitiously back outside again.(I smyg)
And the moment I lay down on the bed, my mind started seething with questions about this family that my father´s marriage had made me an inadvertent part of. (oavsiktligt)
It had been a cry of very real anguish. (Starkt själsligt lidande)
In retrospect, I realize that the more I sifted through the sands of that strange conversation, the more the tiny grains of meaning slid away from me.(återblick)
I was startled to find that his eyes were waiting for mine.(upp skrämmd)
Keeping a deadpan expression, Gabe let one eyelid drop in…..(uttryckslös)
I think it´ll be lullaby time along about nine-thirty.(vag visa)
I would like to be able to say that my decision was altruistic and I was agreeing to sneak out that night just because of josie.
We close at twelve on week nights, the man at the register toil us as he accepted our admission fee. (entre avgift)
Are you crazy, Josie exclaimed indignantly.
He scanned the milling crowd.(myllrande)
League schools like to flaut their token minority students.
Don´t you think that was pretty presumptous of you??
I glanced surreptitously across at the young man next to me. ( I smyg)
We both said that at once, avoiding each other´s eyes in mutual embarrassment, and Dave left us the way he had come … ( gemensam)
"The fact is though, that with Nore robbins for the first time since all this started, we are involved with someone who has an uncanny awarness of time"
When you read this you kind of suspect that this awerness of time she is talking about might effect their future plan they maybe will have negativly.

Locked in Time
Chapter 5-10
My list of words:
While Lisette and I put the food away and started lunch preparations, Josie managed to drift surreptitiously back outside again. (i smyg, i hemlighet)
"Nore, please?" Josie said beseechingly. (med bönfall)
"I was a very precocious child," Gabe said. (tidigt utvecklad)
"What do you mean?" I asked in bewilderment. (förvirring)
We were all of us there together, and yet we did not mesh our lives. (stämma överens)
"I said, later," Gabe told her brusquely. (bryskt)
Despite her peculiarities, however, as the weeks slid past, I found myself developing a real fondness for my stepsister. (egendomlighet)
In my dream state, I got up from my bed and slipped, ghostlike, through the wall, to trail my stepmother down the hall to the room she shared with my father. (skugga, följa efter)
The candle-bearers took up the chant, growling the strange, foreign syllables rather than speaking them, as the woman in scarlet lowered the bowl and bent to hold it in turn to the lips of each of the white-clothed figures kneeling at her feet. (stavelse)
Although I knew in my rational mind that it was ridiculous to let one instance of oversleeping make me feel guilty, it was so ingrained in me to run on a regular schedule that I threw on my clothes in a rush that was almost panicky in a frantic effort to redeem myself. (gottgöra)
Honeysuckle and magnolias poured forth their respective fragrances, and the mingled scents of the various flowerladen bushes that bordered the porch had already thickened in the heat of the morning to a cloying sweetness. (sliskig)
"Sandwiches and cookies and stuff," Gabe said causticallly. (kaustikt)
The quote I chose:
"Nore Robbins is a danger." Lisette's voice was low, but the glass brought the words to my ear with the precision of a telephone receiver. "She is by far the worst threat that we have ever had fo face."
"Why?" Josie asked her. "Just tell me, why is Nore such a threat? Because Gabe likes her? Gabe's liked lots of girls! You've never objected before when he got hung up on somebody. We all of us know how those romances of his have to end."
"This is different," said Lisette, "because Nore is Chuck's daughter. She is part of the package that Gabe will soon have to deal with. But there may be even more of a problem than that, Jo. Maybe it's something to worry about, or maybe it isn't; there's no way yet to be certain what effect this may have on things. The fact is, though, that with Nore Robbins, for the first time since all this started, we are involved with someone who has an uncanny awareness of time."
It seems that Lisette is getting more and more nervous about Nore maybe finding out about their secret which, according to this quote, has something to do with time. And on the basis of what I previously read in the book and because of the title, I think that the Bergé-family is somehow locked in time and that Gabe has always been 17 and Josie 13. And ofcourse, their mother Lisette is also trapped in that same situation.
And it also seems that Lisette doesn't want Nore and Gabe to develop some sort of romance because she is afraid that Gabe might tell her their secret, and if Nore finds it out, something terrible might happen to her.
She sees her as a threat to them just because of Nore's awareness of time.

3) There was a noisy mass exodus = ?
4) That was pretty presumptuous = förmäten
5) In a sudden, startling display of unprovoked anger, he slammed his foot down on the accelerator = oprovocerad, gaspedal
6) I found myself developing a real fondness = förtjusning
7) I could think of no way to soften the harshness of the rejection = hårdheten

9) All of us become more than casual acquaintances = bekant, vän
10) Seen in silhouette = silhuett kontur(bild) (som uppstår i kontrast mellan ljus och mörker)
My quote:
" You got us into this! You made the deal!" ... "At Shadow Grive, I'm the one who is in control of things!" ..."We can't go on like this. Maman!" ..."Nore Robbins is a danger...a stranger"
"In danger" Another voice rose, like an echo of Lisette's. "You and your father are both in terrible danger!"
I chose this quote because it made me think about what Nore's mum told her in her dream, I first thought that it was just a dream, but now it seems like she's right. I'm starting to wonder how Lisette's in control of everything in Shadow Grive. And I'm getting even more curious about what's going to happen after what Josie and Lisette were talking about.
